Youth Art Festival

EPEKA with support of Club of Maribor Students with the purpose to promote Maribor – European Capital of Culture 2012 and Maribor – European Youth Capital 2013 took part in international festival of youth culture Youth Art Festival in Bitola, Macedonia.

In Bitola performed members of this DJs collective: DJ Kapalee Kpow – DJ K'Pow and DJ Zeds with their disco, funk, soul, hip-hop sounds.

RDYO DJs Soundsystem

They came from Slovenia. They are composed of nine DJ’s, everyone having their own view and style of DJing, but most of all they strive to convert their personal selection to a shared whole. They work as a “DJ band” in various combinations. The founders and main DJs are JAMirko and Pier, recognized DJs at home and abroad that have been contributing to the multimedia club culture since 1996. Besides DJing they are also active in the education of young artists and spreading of urban/club culture.

DJ Kapalee Kpow

Is active as a DJ since 1997. In all this time I've performed at various clubs, and other musical events all over Slovenia and also Croatia, Bosnia, Macedonia, Kosovo, UK, Germany, Italy, Austria and France with many home grown and foreign DJs and artists. Last four years I've been collaborating with an MC from Croatia – MC SunnySun as a concert DJ for the SunnySun Show and also working on his mixtape, which is coming out soon!

Between 2001 and 2003 I've also worked as a radio DJ on the hip hop show, which was a part of a Radyoyo weekly radio show, airing from Monday till Thursday (from 1996 till 2003).

My musical selection includes Hip Hop, Funk, RnB, Disco, Soul and Original breaks.

DJ Zeds

When he heard a band called A Tribe Called Quest, beats have taken him on a Hiphop journey. He is co-founded the RDYO DJs (Radyoyo) crew in 1996, which was know for its Radio show and club nights at that time. RDYO DJs is still a crew of Hipkop, Funk, Drum.n.Bass, Reaggae DJs and producers. In 2000 DJ ZEDS started with Sladica (dessert) Radio Show, as a Soul and R'n'B project. Today, Sladica is a soul, funk, r'n'b, mashup mixtape, released once a year and followed by the Sladica Party, which became one of 'the best in town event' status.
