Jernej Rakušček: Understanding The Ocean

EPEKA organised a book presentation by the author Jernej Rakušček. The presentation took place on 27th June on the KMŠ stage under the Lent Festival programme.

After the talk and presentation we listened to some music that Jernej Rakušček composed himself and it took us on a wave ride.

Jernej Rakušček is a Slovenian “Soul Surfer”. He dedicated his lifetime to surfing and wave riding. He collects the knowledge of life out of the ocean and uses it to help anybody that has got lost on their path. His book is about water, life and energy. It is about how human life can be humane for the individual and for the others. It is a book about the travels of the wave and how you can surf and enjoy every second of your ride. Jernej Rakušček, 33, is an untypical representative of his generation. He exudes a relaxed vibe because one day he just realised that he wants to live his own life. He has no fear from the new and the unknown. We can categorise him as a world traveller, missionary, hedonist and adventurist. He is a unique personality with a special purpose in this world.
